A clear brief. A considered proposal.
Furniture planning & ordering guide
Prepare your furniture or cabinetry enquiry: floor plans, measurements, materials, quantities, destination and questions to confirm before ordering with YSS.
Planning a whole-home furniture or custom cabinetry project begins with a clear brief. YSS Furniture is based in Foshan, Guangdong, China, and welcomes residential and hospitality enquiries.
What should I send for a proposal?
Share a floor plan or room sketch, approximate dimensions, the furniture or storage you need, reference images, quantities and your destination. A budget range and target schedule help explain your priorities. If some details are undecided, tell us what you know and what still needs discussion.
How do furniture and cabinetry briefs differ?
Freestanding furniture needs enough space for circulation, doors and everyday use. Fitted cabinetry also depends on site dimensions, wall conditions and appliance or service positions. Identify kitchens, wardrobes and other fitted areas separately from loose furniture in your room list.
Which measurements matter for cabinetry?
Provide room dimensions, ceiling height, doors, windows and any known obstructions. For kitchens, include appliance information and utility positions where available. Confirm who will check final site measurements before production; concept images alone do not provide manufacturing dimensions.
How should materials and finishes be confirmed?
Discuss the material, finish, colour, hardware and maintenance requirements for each item. Reference photographs help describe a direction, but screen colours and renderings are not a substitute for an agreed specification. Ask which samples or finish references are appropriate for your project.
What determines the quotation and schedule?
Dimensions, quantities, materials, finishes and the agreed supply scope affect a proposal. Share your target date early. Confirm the quoted lead time, payment terms and any minimum quantities for your selected items before placing an order; these are project-specific.
What about shipping and installation?
Include your country, city and delivery requirements in the enquiry. Ask the team to clarify packaging, shipping scope, destination charges, customs responsibilities and installation arrangements in the proposal. Do not assume that delivery, duties or on-site installation are included unless stated.
Are the design series completed projects?
The Gediao II, Monza II, Songya and Xiangnai II series show interior concept renderings. They offer design direction; product availability and final specifications require confirmation. Visit Projects for customer project references.
